Анатолій Юрійович. Потієнко

Born on August 13, 1983, in the village of Prydesnyanske, Korop district, Chernihiv region, in a family of collective farmers. In 1998, he graduated from a secondary school in the village of Horodyshche, Korop district. Since 1998, he worked at the Limited Liability Company "Druzhba" in the village of Prydesnyanske. In 2001-2002, he served in the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Kyiv). After demobilization, he returned to the village of Prydesnyanske. He worked in his native village. Since 2008, he lived in the village of Borshna, Priluky district, Chernihiv region. He worked as a laborer on a local farm, at the Hustiyn Holy Trinity Monastery, on the improvement of the village, and in personal farming. On March 31, 2014, he was mobilized by the Korop district military commissariat to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 1st Separate Guards Tank Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1815, the urban-type settlement of Honcharivske, Chernihiv district, Chernihiv region), then as a machine gunner in the mechanized company of the mechanized battalion of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). Since August 23, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was killed on the night of January 7-8, 2015, by a sniper's bullet while on duty at a platoon strongpoint in a forest belt near the village of Novohnativka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region. He was buried on January 12, 2015, in the cemetery of the village of Borshna, Priluky district, Chernihiv region.
