- Born on May 11, 1981, in the village of Kam'yanky, Podvolochysk district, Ternopil region. Graduated from the secondary school in the village of Kam'yanky, Podvolochysk district. In the 1990s, he served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (city of Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region). At the end of July 2014, he was mobilized as a volunteer into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0284, city of Lviv). From August 26, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 5, 2014, soldier Vorobel was killed in a battle with Russian-terrorist groups near the village of Tsvitni Pisky, Slovyanoserbsk district, Luhansk region. Since then, he was considered missing in action. On September 12, 2014, he was buried in the Alley of Temporarily Unidentified Defenders of Ukraine at the Starobilsk Cemetery (village of Chmyrivka, Starobilsk district, Luhansk region). He was identified through DNA testing. On February 1, 2015, he was reburied at the cemetery in the village of Kam'yanky, Podvolochysk district. On May 23, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Kam'yanky, Podvolochysk district, on the facade of the general education school (Shkilna Street, 32A), where Ivan Vorobel studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
