Mykola M. Fedus

Born on April 29, 1995, in the village of Yonychi, Zhovkva district, Lviv region. Graduated from 9 grades of general education school No. 1 in the city of Rava-Ruska, Zhovkva district, then - Rava-Ruska vocational lyceum. Served under contract in the 80th separate airborne order of the Red Banner brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0284, Lviv city). Since spring 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 5, 2014, soldier Fedus was killed in a battle with Russian-terrorist groups near the village of Tsvitni Pisky, Slovianoserbsk district, Luhansk region. Since then, he was considered missing in action. On September 12, 2014, he was buried in the Alley of temporarily unidentified defenders of Ukraine at the Starobilsk cemetery (village of Chmyrivka, Starobilsk district, Luhansk region). Two months later, he was identified through DNA testing. On July 15, 2015, he was reburied at the cemetery of the village of Stare Selo, Zhydachiv district, Lviv region. On December 25, 2015, in the city of Rava-Ruska, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the facade of general education school No. 1 (Hrushevskyi Street, 18), where Mykola Fedus studied.
