Yurii O. Liapin

Born on May 17, 1995, in the village of Kapustyntsi, Yahotyn district, Kyiv region. In 2010, he graduated from the 9th grade of the general education school in the village of Kapustyntsi, Yahotyn district, and in 2013 - from the College of Marine and River Fleet of the Kyiv State Academy of Water Transport named after Hetman Petro Konashevych-Sahaidachny. Since 2013, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0281, Zhytomyr city). Since April 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 19, 2014, the forces of the anti-terrorist operation conducted an offensive on the positions of terrorists in the area of the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk region. During the battle, soldier Lyapin received several gunshot wounds incompatible with life. Also in this battle, Senior Lieutenant Savchenko, Sergeant Pushanko, Senior Soldier Burlak, and Soldier Klym were killed. He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Kozyntsi, Borodyanka district, Kyiv region. In the village of Kapustyntsi, Yahotyn, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the general education school (Y. Stolbova Street, 3), where Yuriy Lyapin studied.
