- Soldier Alexan Amirjanyan was killed on August 13, 2023, in the area of the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. While performing his duties, he suffered a fatal explosive injury. The defender did not live four days until his 34th birthday. Alexan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. At the age of 4, he moved to Ukraine with his family. He grew up in the village of Lypove, Poltava region. He graduated from school and a mining lyceum in the village of Svyatylivka. After completing his military service, he worked as a truck driver at a mining enterprise. In recent years, he lived with his family in the city of Globyne, Poltava region. He worked as a long-distance driver. When the full-scale war began, the man was abroad for work. On February 27, 2022, Alexan returned home and went to the military enlistment office. Initially, he served in the 107th Rocket Artillery Brigade. In March 2023, he was transferred to the 5th Separate Assault Brigade. His older brother, Grant Amirjanyan, was killed on February 26, 2023, in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. "After the death of his brother, he could have been demobilized, but he returned to service with a firm intention to avenge the enemy. Alexan was responsible, modest, polite, attentive, and ready to help at any moment. This is how we must remember him!" - said in the Gradyzka community. "Alexan sincerely believed in victory and put maximum effort into it. He was a very responsible, reliable, and worthy person, never indifferent to the grief of others," added Oksana Reder, a family friend. "My husband had a chance to be discharged from service due to health reasons, as he suffered numerous concussions while being at the front line for four months, but until his last breath, he did not leave his comrades-in-arms, always saying: 'Who, if not us?' All my husband's comrades-in-arms will confirm that he was a brave, experienced, and strong warrior, very responsible, reliable, devoted, and worthy comrade, never indifferent to the grief of others, and always fought for justice," wrote Irina Amirjanyan. The defender was buried in the Poltava region. Alexan is survived by his wife, daughter, and parents.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
