Alona M. Kushnir-Novitska

Kushneir Alona Mykolaivna was born in the village of Moroziv, Dunaivetskyi district, Khmilnytskyi region. She grew up in a large family. In 2011, she graduated from the Chemeriv Medical College. Until 2016, she worked as a nurse in a hospital. From 2017, she served in the Azov battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine, holding the position of medical instructor. In 2013, she got married and gave birth to a son, Illia. Alona's husband was a serviceman, serving in the Azov battalion. Later, the couple divorced. On March 7, 2022, her husband, who was defending the city of Mariupol, was killed. Alona Kushneir was killed on April 15, 2022, in Mariupol - the occupants dropped a 3-ton anti-bunker bomb on Azovstal. Her 9-year-old son remains.
