Anatolii A. Balias (Bioloh)

Serviceman Anatoliy Balyas (call sign Biologist) was killed on November 28, 2023 in battle with the enemy in the area of the village of Pavlivka in the Donetsk region. The defender's life was cut short by a mortar attack. A month earlier, on October 25, the warrior turned 47 years old. Anatoliy was born in the village of Markivtsi, Khmilnytskyi region. He obtained the profession of an electric welder. Since 2000, he lived with his family in the village of Volytsya-Polyova. In recent years, he worked as a watchman and stoker at the solid fuel boiler room of the Volytsya-Polyova Lyceum. Colleagues remember him as a responsible, conscientious and reliable employee. In June 2023, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He bravely and worthily carried out combat missions at the front line and dreamed of returning home with victory as soon as possible. "Anatoliy was a beloved husband, loving father, kind son and faithful friend," his relatives said. The fighter was buried in the village of Volytsya-Polyova, Khmilnytskyi region. Anatoliy is survived by his mother Hanna Volodymyrivna, wife Hanna, sons Valentyn and Dmytro.
