- Senior soldier Anatoliy Benedyk (call sign Bear) died on October 11, 2023 near the village of Ploshchanka in the Luhansk region. In the battle with the enemy, he received a fatal injury during an artillery bombardment. The following month, on November 17, the fighter would have turned 44 years old. Anatoliy was born in the village of Serhiivka, Primorsky Krai (Russia). He lived in the village of Velykyi Krupil, Kyiv region. He graduated from the Kyiv Construction College and obtained the profession of a painter. He worked as a construction worker. He devoted his free time to his family, which was always his top priority. From the first days of the full-scale war, along with concerned fellow villagers, the man participated in the defense of the Kyiv region. On December 8, 2022, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in military unit A4138. On February 26, 2023, he was transferred to the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade to the position of commander of the reconnaissance platoon. He took part in the battles in the area of the cities of Pokrovsk and Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. "Anatoliy was a bright, cheerful and courageous person with many plans and hopes. A true patriot, kind, fair, responsible. He loved life and was always ready to come to the rescue," his wife said. The warrior was buried in the village of Velykyi Krupil in the Kyiv region. At home, Anatoliy was awaited by his wife Oksana and five daughters: Veronika, Viktoriia, Elizaveta, Marharyta, Milana.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
