- 54-year-old Sergeant Anatoliy Shvetsov (call sign Shaman) was killed on September 29, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Kurdyumivka in Donetsk region. The defender received fatal injuries as a result of enemy tank shelling. Anatoliy was born in the village of Pishchane in Poltava region and graduated from the local school. He obtained a qualification as a tractor driver and a driver at a local vocational school. He worked at the former "Sils'kosphimiya," growing grain on his native ancestral land. In recent years, he lived in the settlement of Dykanka in Poltava region. In February 2020, he signed a contract with the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Konstantin Ostrozhsky. He served as a shooter-sanitary officer. His first rotation was in the combat zone in Donetsk. Comrades note that he approached his duties very responsibly. The full-scale war found Shaman at zero positions in Donetsk. Later, their unit was moved to Kharkiv region, where they helped liberate Izium from the occupiers. Then the soldiers returned to Donetsk. But for Anatoliy, this rotation became his last. "Anatoliy was an honest person who would always help. This is a great loss for us; he was a true hero. Everyone looked up to him," noted a comrade. "Dad was a good person with a big, kind, and just heart. He was always happy to help anyone who turned to him. He was a wonderful and caring father, husband, and an incredible grandfather. He had many friends. Everyone loved and respected him. His greatest dream was for this damned war, which takes the lives of the best sons of Ukraine, to end," said his daughter Aliona. Anatoliy was buried in the settlement of Dykanka in Poltava region. His wife, daughter, and two grandchildren did not wait for their defender to return from the war.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
