Anatolii A. Svyrydov

45-year-old serviceman Anatoliy Syvyridov was killed on October 24, 2022, while defending Ukraine from Russian occupiers. Anatoliy was born in Chernivtsi, where he attended school. Later, he moved with his family to Poltava region, to Myrhorod. He graduated from Myrhorod School No. 7. He obtained the profession of a driver-tractor operator at the local vocational school No. 44. In 1995, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and received the rank of junior sergeant. He served under contract in the 831st Separate Tactical Aviation Brigade and later transferred to the Operational Rescue Service of Civil Protection of Ukraine. When the Russo-Ukrainian War began in 2014, Anatoliy returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the ATO / JFO. In 2016, he was wounded but later returned to service under contract. During the full-scale invasion, the serviceman continued to defend his homeland. He was wounded again and returned to duty after treatment. "Words cannot express the pain that pierces our souls; this is an irreparable loss for the entire Ukrainian people. We will never forget our defender, a hero who gave his life defending the freedom of his people," wrote the head of the Velykosorochyn community, Oleksandr Tyshytskyi. The serviceman was buried in the Poltava region. Anatoliy is survived by his parents, wife, and four children.
