Biography
Zeruk Anatoliy Anatoliyovych was born on November 21, 1967, in the village of Poyasky, Oleksiyivskyi district of Zhytomyr region. He graduated from Korosten boarding school. During his studies, he started practicing athletics at the Korosten children's and youth sports school. After finishing school, he served in the sports company of the Armed Forces of the USSR. After his service, he graduated from Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi. Since his school years, he participated in international competitions. In 1998, he set the national record of Ukraine in marathon running (2:11:50). He won many awards for Ukraine in international athletics competitions, including gold and silver medals in marathons. In recent years, he actively engaged in cycling. In 2019, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine for contracted service. He was killed in March 2022 during battles with Russian occupiers near the city of Oleshky in the Kherson region.Burial place
