Anatolii A. Zhelizniak

Senior soldier Anatoliy Zhelizniak was killed on February 15, 2023 near the village of Bilohorivka in the Donetsk region. While performing his official duties, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy mortar shelling. In March, the defender would have turned 43 years old. Anatoliy was born in the village of Vyrishalne, Poltava region. He lived in the city of Myrhorod. He graduated from the Myrhorod Vocational and Technical School No. 9, obtaining the specialty of tractor-crane operator. He worked at the Myrhorod dairy plant. In his free time, he loved fishing and was passionate about football. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as part of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. He took the position of senior operator of the anti-tank section and went to the front line. "Anatoliy was a true warrior, a faithful friend, a man of word and courage, an example of indomitability and loyalty to his country. He defended the right to our safe life," said the sister of the fallen Viktoria Barbak. The military was buried in the village of Perevalivka in the Poltava region. Anatoliy is survived by his parents, sister, brother, wife and daughter.
