Anatolii D. Pivtorak (Rak)

Soldier Anatoliy Pivtorak (call sign Rak) was killed on July 12, 2023 in a battle with the occupants near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior's life was cut short by enemy artillery fire. The defender was 52 years old. Anatoliy was born and lived his entire life in the village of Kryvyi Kolina, Cherkasy region. After school, he graduated from the Uman Vocational Lyceum No. 9, where he mastered the profession of an electrician. He then served his compulsory military service in the border troops. In civilian life, he worked as a miller and a builder, and for 12 years he was an electrician at the Kryvokoline HPP. His last place of work was LLC "Hidroresurs-K". In the first days of the full-scale war, the man's son received a summons, so Anatoliy himself decided to go to the army. On February 27, 2022, he joined the local TRO. He served in the 159th separate battalion of the 118th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a shooter. "He was a good person. He loved life, cherished his family, lived with his grandchildren. We miss him very much," said the deceased's daughter Alina. The defender was buried in his native village. Anatoliy is survived by his mother Maria Andriivna, wife Nadiya, daughters Alina and Maria, son Serhiy and seven grandchildren. Posthumously, the hero was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
