Anatolii H. Stratovych

In 1977, Anatoliy Hrymovych Stratovych graduated from Zhytomyr Vocational Technical School No. 34, later obtaining higher education in the field of "Construction Engineer." He served in the special forces during his mandatory military service and participated in combat operations in the territory of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. From the first days of the Revolution of Dignity, he became an activist of the capital's Euromaidan and later actively participated in the activities of the NGO "Self-Defense of Zhytomyr Region," particularly in public order protection and providing volunteer assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the ATO area. Later, despite being 52 years old, he managed to be called up for military service by mobilization (as a volunteer) and was sent to the ATO area in the fall of 2014. ₴Senior Lieutenant Kostiantyn Sultanbahomaiev, platoon commander: "Tolik always protected me, gave me advice, as this was his third war. In a short time, he showed me a lot, told me many things, and constantly supported me. Anatoliy was a good person, had children, grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter." ₴Viktor Kotvytskyi: "Eternal memory to the heroes! On January 26, 2015, our Brother, Ukrop, Bandera-log, and simply a Good Conscious person, sniper Tolya Stratovych, died while performing a combat mission in the ATO zone. A man who believed that his place was at the front so that the boys could live and learn to defend their Motherland while people like him stood on the front line of fire. May God accept His soul — a Father, a Grandfather, a Patriot, a Citizen…"
