- Senior Sergeant Anatoliy Tymoshenko (call sign Timokha) was killed on July 10, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Veselie in the Donetsk region. The defender was 56 years old. Anatoliy was born in the village of Chutove, Poltava region. He lived in the village of Novofedorivka, Poltava region. He graduated from the Poltava College of Food Technologies. He worked in various fields. In 2014, he volunteered for the ATO. He fought in the Donetsk region as part of the reconnaissance platoon of the 17th separate tank brigade. He was awarded the "Knight's Cross of the Mazepa Family". On the first day of the full-scale war, on February 24, 2022, the veteran could not remain on the sidelines and went to the front again. This time, he defended his country from the occupiers in the ranks of the 116th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the senior sergeant of the platoon of the 146th battalion. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. Since January 2023, he has been participating in the battles for the city of Soledar in the Donetsk region, where he proved himself as a capable commander, organizing the defense of the front line and not retreating a single step without the order of the command. For this, he was awarded the badge "For Loyalty to the People of Ukraine" of the II degree. Since March, he has been fighting in the Avdiivka direction. "A man with a capital letter and a sincere heart. He always went first on combat missions and never feared for his life, he was a true patriot of our state, he said: 'Who, if not me?' - said the wife of the deceased Yulia.
