Anatolii L. Horpenko

Senior soldier Anatoliy Gorpenko was killed on June 9, 2023 in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The warrior was 46 years old. Anatoliy was from the village of Gruzevytsia in the Khmilnytskyi region. He graduated from a vocational school. In civilian life, he worked for a while at Ukrzaliznytsia, then went abroad to earn money, and later found a job at a factory. In his free time, he loved fishing and spending time with his family. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, the man could not remain on the sidelines and joined the ranks of the territorial defense. Later, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 33rd separate mechanized brigade. He fought in the Zaporizhzhia direction. "My father was a wonderful person, an exemplary family man, the best father, a good neighbor and friend," said Anastasia Gorpenko. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, Anatoliy was awaited by his wife Iryna, daughters Anastasia and Olena.
