- Born on January 17, 1981, in the city of Dunayivtsi, Khmelnytskyi region. Lived in the village of Zalissia, Dunayivtsi district, Khmelnytskyi region. Graduated from the general education school of the village of Zalissia. In the Armed Forces of Ukraine since August 1, 1999, conscripted by the Dunayivtsi district military commissariat of Khmelnytskyi region. In 2003, graduated from the Military Institute of Rocket Forces and Artillery named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of Sumy State University (city of Sumy). Served as the head of intelligence of the 1st howitzer self-propelled artillery battery of the howitzer self-propelled artillery division of the 72nd separate guards mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). Since 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. In July 2014, Captain Romanchuk sustained serious injuries while attempting to break out of the encirclement of terrorists on the border with Russia in the area of the village of Tarany, Shakhtarsk district, Donetsk region. The military vehicle he was in fell into an enemy ambush. The seriously wounded officer was captured by militants. Captain Romanchuk was taken to a hospital in the city of Snizhne, Donetsk region. The officer underwent surgery. Doctors tried to save Captain Romanchuk, but their efforts were in vain. On July 27, 2014, the officer died from his injuries. On August 6, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Zalissia, Dunayivtsi district, Khmelnytskyi region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
