Anatolii M. Storozhenko (Rubizh)

Junior Sergeant Anatoliy Storozhenko (call sign Rubizh) was killed on January 23, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Vodiane in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 37 years old. Anatoliy was born in the city of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region. He graduated with a red diploma from the Myhiiv College of the Mykolaiv National Agrarian University with a degree in "Production and Processing of Livestock Products". He worked as a metal cold processing mechanic. In his free time, he loved to fish. He was a participant in the ATO in Donbas. In 2015, he was awarded the badge "For Exemplary Service". During the full-scale war, the man fought for his country as part of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 36th separate marine brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky. He was a squad commander, a vehicle commander. "My husband is a very decent and honest person. He cared the most about the fate of his guys! When the commander told him: 'Rubizh, you have four daughters, go home!', he couldn't leave his guys. During the full-scale war, I saw my husband three times, at the funerals of his comrades-in-arms. I was afraid to let him go, but he couldn't do otherwise. I am proud of him. I'm proud that I'm his wife..." said Viktoriia Khodakivska. The marine was buried in his hometown. At home, his wife and four children were waiting for him.
