- 20-year-old soldier Anatoliy Grekov (call sign Greek) was killed on May 21, 2022, during an enemy artillery shelling near the village of Pylypchany in the Donetsk region. Anatoliy was from the city of Molodohvardiysk in the Luhansk region. Since childhood, he dreamed of becoming a military man. In 2014, after the start of the Russo-Ukrainian war, he and his family were forced to move to Ivano-Frankivsk region. He enrolled in the Drohobych Vocational College of Oil and Gas, specializing in "Well Drilling." He was passionate about weapons. In 2019, he signed a contract for military service with the 80th Air Assault Brigade. He served as a grenade launcher. When the full-scale war began, he continued to defend Ukraine alongside his comrades. "You defended your homeland for the sole purpose of living in a peaceful and calm Ukraine! You gave your life for our future... We will always remember your heroism, courage, and bravery!" wrote on the page of the Drohobych Vocational College of Oil and Gas. The serviceman was buried in the village of Kalna in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where his family found shelter during the war. Local residents saw him off on his final journey on their knees, holding state flags that the young man dreamed of seeing in his native Luhansk region and for which he gave his life. He is survived by his parents and a younger brother. In honor of Anatoliy, a memorial plaque was opened in the village of Kalna in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
