Anatolii P. Fedorenko

A 45-year-old soldier, Anatoliy Fedorenko, was killed in action on April 30, 2022, during the defense of the city of Severodonetsk in Luhansk region. The warrior's life was cut short by enemy artillery fire. Anatoliy was from the village of Komarivka in Cherkasy region. He lived in the urban-type settlement of Katerynopil in Cherkasy region. He graduated from the Boguslav vocational technical school and obtained the profession of a shoemaker. He worked in construction, his last civilian job being at the Katerynopil Elevator. During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his country and loved ones from the enemy. He served in the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade and was a senior operator in the anti-tank platoon. "Anatoliy was a true patriot, a brave and courageous warrior, a beloved husband and father, and a loyal friend," his wife noted. "We have known each other for over 10 years, our families are friends. In the first days of the war, Anatoliy and my husband went to the military enlistment office together, without hesitation. Anatoliy is a true hero, leaving behind a daughter with a heart defect. But that is not the only problem on the child's heart. The biggest scar is not from the surgery, but from the death of her father, who was her ideal. Tolya was a non-conflict person, with a very good character. We all miss him. His comrades respected him. Despite the fact that they were only on the front together for 2 months, now they come to his grave whenever they have the opportunity," said family friend Irina Zasun'ko. Anatoliy was buried at the Studynske Cemetery in the urban-type settlement of Katerynopil in Cherkasy region. He was awaited at home by his wife Irina, daughter Karina, stepson Vladyslav, other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
