Anatolii S. Horitsyn (Hor)

Soldier Anatoliy Horitsyn (call sign Gor) was killed on August 31, 2022, near the village of Andriivka in the Kherson region. His life was cut short by enemy artillery fire. On August 9, the defender turned 34 years old. Anatoliy was born in the village of Lypnyazhka in the Kirovohrad region. There, he attended the local school, but later his family moved to the village of Andriivka. Thus, he continued his secondary education at Andriivka School. After getting married, he moved to the settlement of Dobrovelychkivka. He worked as a car mechanic and builder. He always spent his free time with his family. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man immediately joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his loved ones. He served in the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after the ataman Kosty Hordiienko. "The best man in the world, a father, a son. He was always cheerful, brave, kind, and hardworking. In the first days of the full-scale invasion, he went as a volunteer; he couldn't stand aside. He loved his family and his homeland," said the wife of the fallen, Raisa. Anatoliy was buried in the settlement of Dobrovelychkivka in the Kirovohrad region. At home, his father, wife, and two sons were waiting for him.
