Anatolii S. Petrenko

Born on June 18, 1987, in the city of Sumy. In 2004, he graduated from specialized school No. 29 in Sumy.$Since 2004, he has been serving in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. In 2008, he graduated from the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky (city of Khmelnytsky).$Since 2008, he served in the Training Center of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (military unit 3007, city of Zolochiv, Lviv region). Later, he transferred to the 21st Separate Brigade of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (since 2014 - the 21st Separate Brigade of Public Order Protection of the National Guard of Ukraine - military unit 3011, city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region).$He participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.$On August 12, 2016, Major Petrenko died of a heart attack that occurred while guarding a checkpoint near the city of Kurakhove in the Marinka district of Donetsk region.$On August 15, 2016, he was buried in the Alley of Honorable Citizens at the Central Cemetery of Sumy.$On January 30, 2017, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the city of Sumy on the facade of specialized school No. 29 (Zalivna Street, 25), where Anatoliy Petrenko studied.
