Anatolii V. Bezverkhyi

Senior soldier Anatoliy Bezverkhyi was killed on August 19, 2024 near the village of Zorya in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of an attack by an enemy drone. Two months before this, the soldier had turned 26 years old. Anatoliy was born in Kyiv. In 2017, he graduated from the Kyiv Center for Vocational Education and obtained the profession of a car mechanic. He was a private entrepreneur. He was into sports and loved football. He was interested in history and everything new, and wrote poems. In 2024, he received the degree of a professional junior bachelor at the Kyiv College of Communications. On the second day of the full-scale invasion, on February 25, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the Joint Training Center for Missile Troops and Artillery. "This is a unique person who motivated everyone, was always positive, and even on combat missions, he lifted everyone's spirits. Anatoliy had many plans for the future, he wanted children. He was always interested in everything. He was very courageous, brave, but at the same time loving and caring. We lived for each other, he was the meaning of my whole life," shared the wife of the deceased, Polina. Anatoliy was buried at the Berkovetsky Cemetery in the capital. He is survived by his parents, wife, sister, brother, and nieces and nephews.
