Anatolii V. Don (Batia)

Military serviceman Anatoly Don (call sign Batiya) was killed on August 13, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Opytne in Donetsk region. Two days before that, the defender turned 55 years old. Anatoly was born in the village of Oleksandrivka, Kirovohrad region. He received the profession of a tractor driver-excavator operator at a vocational school. He worked as a security guard. He loved traveling and nature very much. He got married, always took care of his family. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man defended his native country as part of the 56th separate motorized infantry Mariupol brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. was killed "My beloved husband is the best in the world. Honest, kind, sincere. From the first days of the war, he went to the military commissariat himself. For all 6 months, he was in the hot spots of Donetsk region: in Avdiivka, Pisky, Opytne. During this time, he was never at home. And he never regretted that he went... He always said that he had to be there. Having lost my husband, I lost everything...", said the deceased's wife Svitlana. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, Anatoly's wife and three children were waiting for him.
