Anatolii V. Kapranov

Soldier Anatoliy Kapranov was killed on October 31, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Nevske in the Luhansk region. In September, the fighter turned 51 years old. Anatoliy was born in the village of Ahronomichne in the Vinnytsia region. Later, he moved with his family to the village of Bokhonyky, where he finished high school. He then completed his mandatory military service and returned home. He worked as a driver, with cars being his main passion. He started a family and raised children. With the onset of the full-scale war on March 1, 2022, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Anatoliy held the position of a machine gunner in the rifle company. "Tolichok was always smiling, cheerful, and kind. Always ready to help and even give his last. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He loved me endlessly. The children say that such love only exists in movies and fairy tales. He spent all his free time with the family," said the soldier's wife, Maiya. "Younger, zealous, cheerful, smiling, forever 51... He gave the most precious thing — his life, so that our children could grow up under a peaceful sky. The hero gave his life for Ukraine, for its independence and territorial integrity, for the peace of hearts and for the future of every Ukrainian," stated the Ahronomichne village council. The defender was buried in the village of Bokhonyky in the Vinnytsia region. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and two grandchildren.
