Anatolii V. Kurnat

Anatoly Kurnat, a soldier, was killed on March 7, 2023 near the town of Minkivka in the Donetsk region. He sustained fatal injuries during an enemy artillery barrage. Two months earlier, on January 2, the warrior had turned 45 years old. Anatoly was born and lived in the village of Oleksandrivka in the Kirovohrad region. After school, he studied for a while at the Novoarkhanhelsk technical school, but dropped out. Later, he obtained a driver's license at a driving school. He worked as a combine harvester operator and tractor driver at the "VLADA-AGRO" company. He adored horses and spent a lot of time with them. The man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in January 2023. He served in the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, holding the position of a sniper in the 37th Separate Battalion "Zaporizhia". "My beloved was purposeful, hardworking, conscientious, and persistent. A loving husband and father. We had big plans for the period after the end of the war..." said the wife of the deceased, Vita Turchak. "Anatoly was a good person with a kind heart. A good father and husband, a kind and attentive person, a reliable friend and the best son for his parents. A patriot of his country. Glory to the Hero of Ukraine," added his cousin Natalia Hromkova. The military was buried in his native village. Anatoly is survived by his parents Viktor and Lyudmyla, sister Rita, sons from his first marriage Viktor and Dmytro, wife Vita, daughter Eleonora, as well as other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.
