Anatolii V. Osypenko (Kherson)

Serviceman Anatoliy Osypenko (call sign Kherson) was killed on May 5, 2023, in the town of Marinka, Donetsk region. The defender sustained fatal injuries during a mortar shelling. Anatoliy was 36 years old. He was born in the village of Novovoznesenske in the Kherson region. He received his education at the Arkhangelsk vocational school. He was a tractor driver by profession. In civilian life, he worked at a company that produced paving tiles. He was interested in technology, especially motorcycles. He lived in the village of Dolynska, Kirovohrad region. In September 2022, Anatoliy voluntarily joined the defense of Ukraine, becoming part of the 79th Separate Airmobile Brigade. He held the position of a soldier-rifleman. "He was very cheerful, good-natured, sincere and open. Always ready to help. He loved animals very much," said his niece Olga Nechytailo. The defender was buried in the village of Dolynska, Kirovohrad region. Anatoliy is survived by his wife, son, mother and sisters.
