Anatolii V. Pavelko (Moldavan)

Soldier Anatoliy Pavelyko (call sign Moldovan) was killed inn action on April 1, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Rozdolne in Donetsk region. The warrior was 39 years old. Anatoliy was born and lived in the city of Hulyaipole, Zaporizhzhia region. He graduated from Berdyansk Institute of Entrepreneurship. During his studies, he was a member of the KVK team. He worked as an economist in the treasury, a leading specialist. In his free time, he loved to play football. He participated in the ATO in Donbas in 2014. During the full-scale invasion, the man once again took up arms to defend Ukraine. At first, he trained soldiers in Zaporizhzhia, and later fought in the 6th Separate Rifle Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "A terrible disaster has come to our Ukraine - war! From the smallest to the largest, everyone began to help: some with drawings, some with gifts, and some by taking up a machine gun, under the whistle of bullets and 'Grads', went to the front. And among them was our fellow countryman - Anatoliy Pavelyko. 'I cannot not go... Who, if not us, will protect our children, women, and mothers? They will bear responsibility for every tear shed, for every ruined life, for every wronged child, for the pain and losses of every citizen!' Taking a machine gun in his hands, Anatoliy defended the peace of our families. But the war is very cruel, it takes the best. In a heavy unequal battle, when the enemy's forces were three times greater, the enemy struck from the rear with armored vehicles, and the cursed fragment hit the warrior directly in the heart. Honor to the hero, you will always be in our hearts and will already be guarding the peace of Ukraine in the Heavenly Regiment. Light clouds, fellow countryman! Hulyaipole and the whole country will not forget you! Rest in peace!" - noted in the Hulyaipole community. "Anatoliy was a loving son, an honest and decent person, always ready to help without hesitation," - said a friend of the deceased, Olena. The defender was buried at the Kushuhum cemetery near the city of Zaporizhzhia. Posthumously, soldier Anatoliy Pavelyko was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.
