Anatolii V. Ptashchenko

Anatoliy Volodymyrovych Ptashchenko was born on August 2, 1975, in Uman region. He held the position of a rifleman in the motorized infantry battalion of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporizhians. He was killed on February 27, 2022, in the early days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as a result of an enemy attack, demonstrating resilience and courage in the fight for his homeland. For his personal bravery and heroism displayed in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, Anatoliy Volodymyrovych Ptashchenko was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
