- 51-year-old Senior Lieutenant Andriy Dobrovolsky (call sign Stork) was killed on September 5, 2023, in a battle near the village of Novoyehorivka in Luhansk region. He helped relocate the positions of Ukrainian soldiers and covered his comrades until a shell hit his armored personnel carrier. He was killed immediately, suffering mine-explosive trauma. Andriy was born in Dnipro. He studied at the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology. Later, he got married and lived with his family in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. He worked at the Rosava tire factory, holding the position of shift supervisor in the mixing department. He deeply loved his wife and daughters. Together with his family, he actively participated in the all-Ukrainian competition "Mom, Dad, I - a sports family," and in 2011, the family was awarded the title of "Best sports family of Kyiv region." He loved nature, fishing, and mushroom picking. From the first days of the full-scale war, the man actively helped the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the volunteers of the Bila Tserkva community. On April 27, 2023, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Andriy served in the 68th Separate Jager Brigade. He was a platoon commander. "For me, my father is an example of a real man, a loving and caring father, a brave warrior, and a person with a big heart and an open soul. He has become an example not only for his family but also for many other people. That's why we want future generations to know about his deed and instill the same love for the country, family, and free life in a free country," said the officer's elder daughter, Monika. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Glory of the local cemetery in Bila Tserkva. At home in Bila Tserkva, Andriy was awaited by his wife Varvara and three daughters: Monika, Vlada, and Renata.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
