Andrii A. Ihnatenko (Ihnat)

Soldier Andrii Ihnatenko (call sign Ihnat) was killed on July 26, 2022 in the battles for Kherson region. During an artillery barrage near the village of Bilohorivka, the defender received a fatal head injury. He was 43 years old. Andrii was born in the urban-type settlement of Khoroshiv, Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Zhytomyr Construction Technical School, where he obtained the profession of a carpenter-joiner. He lived in the village of Torchyn in the Zhytomyr region. Recently, he worked at the Leznikiv quarry. During the full-scale war, the man defended Ukraine as part of the 46th separate air assault brigade. "He was a good son and brother, a good comrade, a faithful and loving husband, and a wonderful father. Everyone will always remember him as smiling, calm, and always ready to help," said the deceased's sister Olha. The defender was buried in the village of Berezivka in the Zhytomyr region. The deceased hero is survived by his wife, two underage children, and his sisters and brothers.
