- Senior Sergeant Andrii Levchenko (call sign Lisnyk) was killed on February 1, 2023, in battle with the occupiers near the city of Vuhledar, Donetsk region. The warrior's life was cut short by enemy mortar shelling. The defender was 46 years old. Andrii was from the village of Cherevky, Poltava region. He graduated from the Lubny Forestry College and obtained a degree in forestry. He was married and lived with his family in Boryspil, Kyiv region. He worked as a packer at Silpo-Food LLC. He was passionate about the history of the Ukrainian Cossacks. He spent his free time fishing and also loved to gather mushrooms. On February 24, 2022, the man went to the military enlistment office on his own and was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians, as part of a rocket artillery battery. He defended the capital and liberated the Kyiv region from the occupiers. In May 2022, he went to Donbas with his unit. From November 2022, he performed the duties of a platoon commander as part of the assault group of the 4th company. "A true Ukrainian warrior, a descendant of Ukrainian Cossacks. He was interested in Cossack legends and respected Ukrainian history. Strong, courageous, intelligent, cheerful, very responsible. He was the pride of his mother and father, the best dad for his daughters: Daria, Ania, and Sofiia, the best husband for his wife, a loving brother." His comrades added: "He was our brother, a combat brother, reliable, unfailing, a real man, a warrior, a Cossack, a comrade, a friend." The military was buried in the village of Novoorzytske, Poltava region. Andrii is survived by his parents, brother, wife, and three daughters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
