- Soldier Andrii Petukhov (call sign Mathematician) was killed in action in combat in the morning of June 22, 2022, near the city of Lysychansk in Luhansk region. According to his comrades, the 33-year-old fighter with a Javelin in his hands, waiting until his last breath for his tank. Andrii was born in the city of Chernihiv. He loved music, was a teacher of percussion instruments. He worked as a sound technician. Three and a half years before the full-scale war, the man met his love - Anastasia. Together they raised Anastasia's daughter from her first marriage. Andrii organized cultural walks for the family: he took his daughter to the movies, his wife to the theater and opera. The three of them traveled through Ukraine and Europe - discovering new places. The man loved the mountains and dreamed of taking his family to the Hoverla after the victory. However, in 2022, these dreams were cut short when Andrii went to serve in the 45th artillery brigade. At first, he stu in Yavoriv as a calculator and became the best in his course. Then in Divychky he learned to work with Javelins. Later he went to the front line. In the army, Andrii received the call sign Mathematician, because he conducted online lessons with his daughter from the trenches: they did mathematics and learned English. That morning, on June 22, during the defense of Luhansk region, several fighters with Javelins opposed dozens of Russian tanks. Andrii was hit by a blast wave and his arm was torn off by a shrapnel. At first, he was considered missing. His wife Anastasia independently found her lover's body and proved the fact of his death. "Andrii was my wings, which were cut off. I had to prove the fact of his death to the military unit and the draft board on my own. I proved it, found it, got the body and buried Andriushenko like a hero. I continue to fight for his ideals! He is a musician, sound engineer, never held an automatic rifle and a turnstile! But he even mastered the Javelin to be where every real man should be - on the battlefield, defending his family and his homeland", - said Anastasia Haidamaka, his civilian wife. The defender was buried at the Baikove cemetery in Kyiv. Andrii left behind his family: his civilian wife and daughter, whom he personally indicated in his military service passport as relatives.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
