Andrii A. Shcherbakov (Prokhodchyk)

35-year-old serviceman Andriy Shcherbakov was killed in action on August 2, 2022, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk Oblast. Andriy was born in the city of Zolote, Luhansk Oblast. He graduated from the local school No. 16. Then he stuwas killed in action at the Lysychansk State Mining and Industrial College. He served in the army. After demobilization, he worked at the "Karbonit" mine in his hometown. He devoted his whole life to his family and work. He had a hobby: breeding nutrias. He also ran his own YouTube channel about nutria care. He was very cheerful and loved life. When the full-scale war began, Andriy took his family to the city of Ternivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. He himself immediately registered with the local military commissariat. Later, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the front. "Andriy was a very cheerful person, had many friends, loved life very much, and had many plans for the future," his wife Kateryna said. "The entire community, city authorities, and the deputies' corps express their deepest condolences to the family for the irreparable loss. One can never be prepared for the loss of a loved one, because a part of our soul leaves with them," the Ternivka City Council noted. The defender was buried in the city of Ternivka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Andriy left behind a wife, son, and daughter.
