- Senior soldier Andrii Svitlookyi was killed on December 13, 2022, as a result of actions by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group in Konotop, Sumy region. This happened during combat duty in the area. The defender was 31 years old. Andrii was born in the village of Kopystyryn, Vinnytsia region. He lived in the village of Agronomichne. He graduated from the Vinnytsia Trade and Economic Institute of DTEУ with a degree in "Public Finance". He worked at the Vinnytsia City Council. He was passionate about sports, particularly Thai boxing and hand-to-hand combat. He stuwas killed foreign languages, the latest technologies, and read a lot of literature for self-development. The man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 22, 2022. He served in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He held the position of senior operator of the ZAZ communication platoon of the communication company of the rear command post of the field communication node. For 7 months, together with his comrades-in-arms, he carried out combat missions in the Bakhmut direction of Donetsk region. Then he ended up in the Sumy region. "I still cannot come to terms with and accept this loss... Andrii was a man with a capital letter. He was the real thing! He was always ready to help, advise and support, although he never asked for anything himself. He was the best son, dad for his daughter, whom he called 'my princess', husband and the best brother and friend for me. I still look for him around... He was faithful to his comrades-in-arms and the Motherland until his last breath," said the deceased's sister Tetiana Protsenko. The military was buried in his native village of Kopystyryn. At home, Andrii was awaited by his parents, sister, wife and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
