Andrii B. Terebii (Sokil)

Andriy Bohdanovych Terebiy was born on October 28, 1991, in Ternopil. He stuwas killed at Ternopil Comprehensive School No. 23. While studying, he engaged in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling at SK "Halych Lions," where he won awards in competitions in various regions and districts. He graduated from Ternopil Center for Vocational and Technical Education No. 1. From 2011, he served in the State Special Transport Service and stuwas killed at Ivan Puluj Ternopil National Technical University. Following the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, he was called up for the third wave of mobilization. Between 2014-2015, he served as a rifleman, assistant grenade launcher of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He participated in battles for the village of Krymske and the town of Zolote-4. In 2016, he voluntarily joined the 54th OMBr. He took part in battles for the city of Popasna in Luhansk region. In 2017, he signed a contract with the 122nd Separate Airborne Battalion of the 81st Separate Airborne Brigade. Between 2018-2022, in the ranks of UDA, he went through battles for the city of Mariinka. Between rotations, he was also an active participant in the public movement of veterans and volunteers "Defend Ukraine" and the public organization "Res_Publica. Brothers in Arms." With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was a senior rifleman of the 122nd Separate Airborne Battalion of the 81st Separate Airborne Brigade. He was killed on April 4, 2022, from a sniper's bullet in battles for the city of Rubizhne in Luhansk region. He was buried on April 11, 2022, on the Alley of Heroes of the Mykulynetsky cemetery in Ternopil. He is survived by his mother and sister.
