- 48-year-old Andrii Hlembotskyi (call sign Kapa) was killed on August 23, 2022, in Kharkiv region. The car he was driving blew up on a mine. Andrii was born in the city of Shostka, Sumy region. He graduated as a builder from Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. In his free time, he loved hiking, active recreation, and traveling. He enjoyed reading and was interested in the history of Ukraine. Andrii actively participated in the Revolution of Dignity. He was injured on the night of November 30, 2013, and attended all court hearings on the case of beating students. According to his friend Sviatoslav Boiko, Andrii was a truth-seeker. Friend Yurii Chaika remembered him as a person who sought solutions to problems and did not see obstacles. Later, Andrii moved to Israel with his family and worked in the sales department as an SMM specialist. However, in the early days of the full-scale invasion, he returned to Ukraine to defend his native land from Russian occupiers. He joined the International Legion of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took the position of commander of a separate special forces unit and went to the front lines. Shortly before his death, Kapa became a father for the third time. His wife gave birth to a daughter. He managed to visit Israel the day after her birth. The command allowed him to go home. He saw his daughter and immediately returned to the front. "Andrii loved and protected our land. He was and remains the best example of a man for his children, the best friend and husband. Brave, decisive, loving. The tattoo on his arm 'Ukraine above all' says everything about him. A person who knew how to live and knew what he was risking his life for," his wife Alina said. The defender was buried at the Baikove cemetery in Kyiv. Andrii left behind his wife Alina, sons Bohdan and Ivan, and newborn daughter Uliana.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
