- 27-year-old junior sergeant Andrii Tykva (call sign Sheriff) died on September 29, 2023 near the village of Novodarivka, Zaporizhzhia region. During the assault, he covered his comrade from the shelling. Andrii was born in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, and later moved with his family to Izium. After graduating from college, he moved to Kharkiv. There he obtained a higher education at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. In civilian life, he worked as a senior manager at the "Avtopark" company. He was interested in cars. During the invasion of the Russian occupiers, the man joined the ranks of local defenders and went to defend his native lands from the enemy. He fought as part of the 127th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the deputy commander of the combat vehicle in the 229th battalion. "Andrii was well-mannered and polite. His family was always his top priority, he loved his son very much and had big plans for the future. When the war started, we together helped families with small children and also went to defend the Motherland together. When he went on the assault, he said: 'Kitty, I'll be back in 2-3 days, it's just a minute adventure,' " his wife Oleksandra said. The warrior was buried on the Alley of Glory of cemetery No. 18 in Kharkiv. Andrii is survived by his parents, wife and son. Andrii Tykva was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
