- Senior soldier Andrii Bahno (call sign Archi) received a penetrating gunshot wound on September 6, 2023 while performing a combat mission on the Kozatskyi island in the Kherson region. The defender was 27 years old. Andrii was born in the village of Konopliane in the Odesa region. He studied at the Konopliane Lyceum. He was a good artist, played the guitar, and had tattoos. Recently, he worked as a controller at Odessagaz JSC. In his free time, he was engaged in engraving on monuments. Andrii began his military service in 2015. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation as part of military unit A2152, serving as a communications officer. After the start of the full-scale war, he immediately took up the defense of the Motherland. He held the position of intelligence officer in the 131st separate reconnaissance battalion. For his service, Senior Soldier Andrii Bahno had a large number of certificates and commendations, including the Medal "Participant of the Military Parade", the badge "Blood for Ukraine", the award "For Service to the State", the Medal "Defender of the Motherland", the badge of the 131st separate reconnaissance battalion "Cross of the Scout", the badges "Participant of the Anti-Terrorist Operation", "War Veteran" and "Golden Cross", and posthumously - the Order of Courage of the III degree. "My son always dreamed of being a true warrior, and he became one. He is forever in my heart," wrote the mother of the fallen Olena Pokotilo. Andrii was buried at the Yevhenivske cemetery in his native village.
