Andrii I. Drozdov (Dron)

Serviceman Andriy Drozdov (call sign Dron) was killed on December 3, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Bochkove in the Kharkiv region. The defender was 25 years old. Andriy was born in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. When he was 3 years old, the family moved to the Donetsk region. He graduated from school in Krasnohorivka. In 2012, he entered the Donetsk Mining Technical School. However, after two years, the Russian-Ukrainian war began, so the family returned to Kryvyi Rih. In 2018, the young man was drafted for military service. That same year he got married, and in 2019 the couple had a daughter named Nadiya. After demobilization, he worked as a packer in the Francois bakery, where he had very warm relationships with his colleagues. He was interested in cars and loved fishing. He devoted his free time to his daughter. When the full-scale war began, the man immediately decided to go to the front and repeatedly visited the military enlistment office. However, he was only drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine in June. Later, he went to the front line. He fought as part of the 1st separate special forces brigade named after Ivan Bohun. He was a shooter in the 518th battalion. "His last words were: 'Mom, did you forget? We were driven out once, there won't be a second time. Who, if not me?'" - shared the mother of the fallen Lyudmyla. The defender was buried in the sector of honorary burials of the Central Cemetery in his hometown. Andriy is survived by his parents, wife and daughter.
