- Andriy Ivanovych Dudnyk was born on April 30, 1981, in the urban-type settlement of Petrivka, Ivanivskyi District, Odesa Oblast. After finishing school, Andriy enrolled in the Military Institute of Tank Troops in Kharkiv, serving in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, where he later built a strong, loving family. He was a responsible father who was always interested in the education of his children: daughter Anastasia and son Danilo. With the onset of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), he participated in combat actions in Eastern Ukraine. In 2018, he entered the Khmelnytskyi Military Academy, after which he returned to the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) zone. After receiving a promotion, Andriy Ivanovych was assigned to the southern direction—Kherson region, where he encountered the enemy onslaught. On February 25, 2022, Major Andriy Dudnyk was killed as a result of a shrapnel hit. Due to active combat actions, the hero's body could not be transported home. For his personal courage and heroism, Andriy Ivanovych Dudnyk was awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree and posthumously given the rank of "Lieutenant Colonel."Memory Book of the MIA System
