Andrii I. Khablov (Dniepr)

Junior Lieutenant Andriy Khoblov (call sign Dnieper) was killed on December 19, 2023 near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region as a result of an FPV drone attack. In November, the defender turned 38 years old. Andriy was born and lived his entire life in Kherson. He graduated from Kherson National Technical University. He was a mechanical engineer by profession. He worked at the Odesa Plant of Polymer Products. In his free time, he loved fishing. During the full-scale war, the man became a serviceman of the 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held the position of platoon commander. "After the liberation of Kherson, Andriy voluntarily decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He independently chose a combat brigade, as he considered it his duty to defend the country. Always decisive, wise, a support for his loved ones. He had golden hands, built a dacha on his own, and did repairs in the apartment. He adored fishing, travel and tourism. With his daughter, he was gentle, always caring, could invent a game out of nothing, and passed on his knowledge. He wanted to have many children and live in Ukrainian Kherson," his wife Anna said. The officer was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Western Cemetery in Odesa. Andriy is survived by his parents, wife and daughter.
