- Soldier Andrii Pachkovskyi (call sign Dron) was killed on August 10, 2022, in the village of Kurdiumivka, Donetsk region. He received injuries from enemy-fired cluster munitions. Andrii was 43 years old. He was born in Ternopil region, graduated from a technical college as a turner-machine operator of the 3rd rank. He worked as a cashier at PJSC Ukrnafta for 16 years, and later became an entrepreneur. He opened a pizzeria in Ternopil, but had to close it a year later due to quarantine. His hobby was building arbors, wooden baths, etc. He dreamed of building a house for his daughters. During the full-scale invasion, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, holding the position of senior gunner of the machine gun department of the machine gun platoon of the infantry battalion. He received the orders "For Courage" III degree and "For Merit". "We lived with him for 25 years, raised two daughters and were just happy... As soon as Andrii received the summons, he immediately stood up to defend Ukraine. He said he didn't want the Russian army to come here and do what they did in Bucha... Andrii was a wonderful person, loved his family, adored his grandchildren. He was proud to have become a young grandfather. He willingly invited guests to his home, cooked for them. He was the soul of the company, a lover of life. Everyone around him respected him. We are very sorry to lose him and at the same time we are proud of him and grateful for his defense," said his wife Natalia. Andrii was buried in his native village. He is survived by his mother Maria, wife Natalia, daughters Olena and Vita, son-in-law Yuri, grandchildren Eva, Maxim, Timofiy, and father-in-law Volodymyr.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
