Andrii I. Rava

Born on February 29, 1992, in the village of Futory, Zboriv district, Ternopil region. Completed primary school in the village of Futory, Zboriv Gymnasium named after Roman Zavadovych, and in 2010 graduated from Zboriv College of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University with a degree in "Maintenance and Repair of Cars and Engines." In 2010-2011, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the winter of 2013-2014, he was on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, where he was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. On March 25, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as the commander of a diesel vehicle platoon in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was wounded in the eye by shrapnel. He was treated in the city of Ternopil and returned to the front after recovery. On October 4, 2014, Junior Sergeant Rava was killed in battle near the village of Mykolaivka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region. He was buried on October 10, 2014, in the cemetery of the village of Futory, Zboriv district, Ternopil region. On August 23, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Zboriv, Ternopil region, at the gymnasium named after Roman Zavadovych (5 Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street), where Andriy Rava studied.
