Publications
- Born on December 3, 1991, in the city of Truskavets, Lviv region. From 1998 to 2006, he studied at general education school No. 3 in Truskavets. He graduated from general education gymnasium No. 2 in Truskavets. Since 2009, he has been in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2013, he graduated from the Faculty of Rocket Troops and Artillery of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachny National Ground Forces Academy (Lviv) with a degree in "Management of Artillery Units' Actions." From 2013 to 2014, he served as the commander of the mortar battery control platoon of the mountain infantry battalion of the 36th separate coastal defense brigade of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2320, the village of Perevalne, Simferopol district of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea). In the spring of 2014, after the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, he moved to the city of Mykolaiv. Since the end of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. In 2015, he was appointed commander of the 1st self-propelled howitzer battery of the howitzer self-propelled artillery division of the brigade artillery group of the 36th separate marine brigade of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2777, Mykolaiv). On December 11, 2015, Senior Lieutenant Shikht tragically died in the area of the urban-type settlement of Mangush in the First of May district (since 2016 - Mangush district) of Donetsk region. On December 14, 2015, he was buried at the New Cemetery in Truskavets. On March 16, 2016, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Truskavets on the facade of general education school No. 3 (98 Stebnytska Street), where Andriy Shikht studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
