- Soldier Andrii Kinakh (call sign Pikhota) was killed on November 24, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Bakhmutske in the Donetsk region. The fighter was 44 years old. Andrii was born in the village of Hodomychi, Volyn region. He graduated from Kolkivske Higher Vocational School No. 24, where he obtained the qualification of driver-electrician. He worked as a construction worker. He was passionate about vehicles, construction, and finishing work. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. He held the position of rifleman. "In the past, my brother was a marine of the 20th Separate Brigade of the Marine Corps of Special Purpose (Kerch), which was later subordinated to the 7th Division of the National Guard of Ukraine. He went to war with the words: 'They take children, and I will hide?' He had an unhealed leg fracture and wore a plate: in the field conditions, it shifted and was the cause of the pain, which he bravely endured. He confessed to almost no one, and at the medical commission, he remained silent about it. When my mother repeatedly asked him to be careful and cried, saying how he would run away with such a leg, he replied: 'We will advance.' And that's how he was killed - in the attack... His signature phrase was: 'Don't worry, victory will be ours!' Friends and relatives remember that in peacetime, he often reduced everything to jokes and humor. But in the war, there are almost no photos where he is smiling. The war broke the man," said Rostyslav Kinakh. The warrior was buried in the village of Krynychne, Volyn, where he lived with his family. Andrii left behind loving relatives, a wife, a daughter, and a son.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
