- Main Sergeant Andrii Taranenko (call sign Admin) died on June 7, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Pokrovske, Donetsk region. The defender was 42 years old. Andrii was born in the village of Troieshchyna, which was included in Kyiv in 1988. He received a higher education in the specialty "Computer Networks and Systems" at the National Aviation University. In peacetime, he held the position of head of the information technology department at Servus Systems Integration LLC. He was interested in computer technology and studied programming languages. He constantly improved his knowledge, had a large number of certificates, diplomas and awards. During the full-scale war, he defended the country as part of the 44th separate rifle battalion. He was a senior rifleman in a rifle squad. For his service, Main Sergeant Andrii Taranenko was awarded the "For the Defense of the Native State" badge and the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously). "My husband was a good, decent person. Smart, reliable, brave and cheerful. He loved life, his family, animals. He tried to spend his free time with his family. He paid a lot of attention to raising his son. He never refused to help anyone, he never left anyone in trouble. For us, this is a loss that cannot be reconciled, it is a pain for life. Andrii will forever remain in our hearts," said his wife Natalia. The defender was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv.
