Andrii M. Batsman (ANDROID)

Soldier Andrii Batsman (call sign Android) was killed on May 17, 2023 near the village of Veseле in the Donetsk region. During a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy mortar shelling. The warrior was forever 36 years old. Andrii was born in the city of Zhytomyr. Later, he moved to Kyiv with his family. In 2002, he graduated from Kyiv School No. 28. In 2005, he graduated from the Kyiv Industrial Technical School. He then served in the training center "Desna". From 2006 to 2010, he studied at the Ukrainian Financial and Economic Institute, majoring in "Cybernetics Economics". He worked with many companies, providing services as a programmer and system administrator, most often for pharmaceutical networks. Since 2020, he has held the position of system administrator in the development and operations department at the Israeli company "Israelnumber.com". During the full-scale war, the man became a warrior of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. He was a senior radio operator. "Andrii was a very bright, intelligent and fair person. His work was both his hobby. He was constantly reading, learning, and improving his knowledge in the IT field," his wife Olena said. Andrii was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Forest Cemetery in the capital. Posthumously, the military man was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
