- Combat medic Andriy Bortkov (call sign Tsitramone) was killed on June 7, 2023 near the village of Lobkove in the Zaporizhzhia region. During the evacuation of a wounded soldier, he came under artillery and tank fire. Shrapnel pierced his helmet. The soldier was 30 years old. Andriy was from the Dnipropetrovsk region, but grew up and lived his entire life in the city of Slavutych in the Kyiv region. He graduated from school No. 2 there. He worked at nuclear power plants throughout Ukraine. He loved sports, was passionate about basketball and computer games. During the full-scale war, in October 2022, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. During his service, Junior Sergeant Andriy Bortkov was awarded the Medal "For Courage in Battle". He repeatedly saved his comrades on the battlefield. "My love for you is boundless, and you know this, I feel it. I will always remember you as cheerful, smiling and very loving. You are my Hero, my weapon of victory," wrote the wife of the fallen Anna. "A true friend, a reliable comrade, he always held on, believed only in the good and charged with positivity. The best son, husband, brother, who was a reliable support for his family," added the Slavutych community. The defender was buried on the Alley of Glory in the city of Slavutych, Kyiv region. His parents, brother and wife were waiting for Andriy at home.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
