Andrii M. Boruts

Soldier Andriy Borutz was killed in action on April 27, 2022, during a combat confrontation and massive artillery shelling near the city of Lysychansk in Luhansk region. The warrior was left with 33 years forever. Andriy was born in the village of Volya-Vysotska in Lviv region. He received a secondary education. He worked as a builder. Later, he opened his own company abroad, which provided services in the construction field. He was passionate about football. In the first days of the full-scale war, the man went voluntarily to the military enlistment office and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. Together with his comrades, he defended Luhansk. "Andriy was the best husband and father. We miss him very much. Brave, courageous, always went to his goal - that's how I will remember him. Forever in our hearts," said the wife of the deceased, Iryna. The defender was buried in his native village. Andriy left behind his mother, sister, wife, and two sons. Posthumously, soldier Andriy Borutz was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.
